At Daydream Games, board games are our passion. The ability to bring families and friend groups together and learn from one another through the board game experience is very important to us. We especially enjoy working with small game creators and experiencing their love for their craft. Unfortunately, many creators struggle to market their games and share their joy with the world. That is what motivated us to create the Daydream Games Board Game Society. Our mission is to help connect great games from small creators with the audience they deserve. In the process, we get to play a lot of hidden gems that might otherwise have never crossed our path.

Each month, we hand-pick one game that has been submitted to us and make it our game of the month. All of our selections are showcased throughout the year at select conventions, in our store and on www.Daydream-Games.com. We take each game submission seriously and play it multiple times before finally giving it a play rating. Next, we decide whether it fits within our program. Our rating system takes into consideration the game’s components, replay-ability, fluidity, and much more. The game must also originate from a small creator or publisher and fit within our price range.
Once selected, we always ask if the game creator can provide an "extra" of some kind for our subscribers. This has, so far, ranged from autographed copies, expansion packs, to unique swag. Then, we order a large quantity of games, enough to satisfy our subscribers, our in-store customers, and our online customers.
Once this process is complete, we are able to start shipping out games to our subscribers! We always provide the option for someone to opt out of the current game, and instead receive a previous month’s game. This helps prevent people from having two copies of the same game, or getting a game they aren’t interested in.
The game’s promotion continues past its featured month. From there, we take it to various conventions where new players will have the chance to demo and buy the game. We also release a filmed review of the game on Youtube, explaining our favorite parts and why it was selected for Board Game Society. Our hope is that this gives the game another boost in public interest and exposure to a new audience.
Our first year of the Board Game Society has just finished up, and we have been thrilled with the results. We have made so many new friends and had amazing opportunities to work with tons of different people. We have learned a lot through this process, and we get a little better every day!

As part of the first year our subscribers selected Pillage the Village as the very first Board Game Society Game of the Year. We were able to meet with creator Jesse Stone of Stone Age Entertainment and present him with a plaque honoring this achievement.
You can follow progress on his next game, “The Wanderer”, Here.
Or pickup your very own copy of Pillage the Village bellow!
If you would like to take advantage of this amazing opportunity to get rare gems in the mail once a month, you can Subscribe Here.
If you are a small creator and would like to submit a game for potential inclusion in the program or for a YouTube review, you can do so Here.

We really appreciate our subscription to the Board Game Society! Not only do we enjoy supporting small creators and/or publishers but we also like receiving games that we might not normally reach for. An example is Logic & Lore, which was the November (2025) game of the month. Don't get me wrong, beautiful box art but we don't typically go for "deduction" games. However, this is now up there as one of our favorite two-player games! Always exciting knowing there is something fresh and new headed our way thanks to the Board Game Society!
